Pituitary tumor removal recovery?

Could someone give me an idea about the recovery time for surgery to remove a tumor on the pituitary gland? My almost mother-in-law is scheduled to have this surgery next Friday (June 29). I am getting married on July 17, and she is scheduled to fly to the wedding on July 15. This is just 16 days after surgery. Based on your own recovery experiences, do you think it is out of the question for her to attend our wedding? I am a little worried about this! Thanks!

Answer:
Assuming she has an uncomplicated surgery, I don't think she'll have any problems being able to go to your wedding. While it sounds creepy to have surgery...essentially in the brain...the entry is through the roof of the mouth, so there are no muscles and such affected to cause her post-operative pain...other than maybe a slightly sore mouth.
