I Don't have a desperate medical history, should a doctor prescribe calcium supplements or should i just catch them from a vitamin store, gnc? im 16 yrs old, mannish, i dont have osteoporosis nor does my mother. I want to thieve it to increace my height, im thinking of taking one that also give vitamin d and magnesium with it, I dont suppose i get my full serving of dairy products a daytime. I was thinking of taking zinc instead or next to, i do stretches, yoga but i doubt they do much. Im doubtful about the growth hormone pills, im 5 5" i want to gain a couple of inches before my bones stop growing at 25.

I would buy a multivitamin and show it to your doctor on your subsequent visit, because too much some minerals interfere beside absorbtion of others.

A zinc deficency can delay puberty. If you hold too much zinc though, it decreases your copper and iron level. A doctor might better answer this. Do a google search for zinc and testosterone. I would drink milk for your calcium, because you get hold of the added protein and vitamin D with it.

If you are still worried, a multi-vitamin is all you inevitability.
BTW, taking extra calcium will not help you grow faster or taller.
