If you are visiting someone near suspected MRSA in their foot, how much of a risk is it going to hand them? my moms her carer and shes worried about the risks to herself, as she hasn't be supplied anything to protect herself against it. What should she do?
Answer:
I am a nursing assistant and work around people near MRSA on a daily cause. Your Mom should wear gloves whenever she is in contact next to this person, this includes shifting bedsheets, doing their laundry, etc. And of course she should mop up her hands when she removes the gloves. if she does this she'll be fine.
you can pop in as long as you dont have any stretch out wounds and you us antibacterial gel on your hands
