Heart left side Hypercarotropy-- how serious is this?

I am retaining water and had a ecg last night and an appt with the cardiologist on May 8th.

my feet are extremely swolllen.
what can i do while i wait to see the doctor?
I need to get this swelling down.
i am elevating my feet,
drinking lot's of water,
with lemon,
and taking vitiman C
and asprin.

What more can I do?

How serious is this and do I need to GO to the
doctor if this swelling doesn't go down?
I was at the doctor Thursday evening, the 26th and had the
abnormal ecg,
how long should i wait to go back?
thank you!

Answer:
I think it is best to see your cardiologist earlier. Retaining water could be due to a lot of things, including heart failure. But, again, as I said, it is best to see your cardio first.

It might also be a good idea to lessen the water intake. If it is heart failure, (which I hope it isn't), a lot of water in take will not be good for you.

Please see your cardiologist right away.
