How do YOU meditate?
I personally like doing yoga in a nice quite room with candles lit around. I find it very relaxing and it helps me release emotional tension.

I havent done the candle thing in a while, I have been having trouble with meditation lately. Maybe its a focus thing...
I do reiki and it has an interesting effect on my senses when I do meditate. I generally do lotus position and keep my hands flat against each other. The heat this generates is amazing.
Full deep breaths and empty all thought from your mind relaxing every mucsle in your body.
