Whypeople use drugs?
Answer:
People don't try drugs thinking they will become an addict. It's something that, for one reason or another, spins way out of control and drags them in. Drugs are a very powerful thing and if done incorrectly turn good people into thieves and liars. Some people have very addictive personalities, which when combined with a powerful drug like cocaine or heroin, quickly changes the persons entire view on life. I don't know if you have ever done drugs or not, but its something you have to do to understand. Eat mushrooms with your long-time girlfriend and fall in love all over again, like it was the first time you met. Eat mushrooms all alone in a dark place, freak out and think someone is trying to kidnap you. It completlely opens up another world, which some weak minded people never want to leave. So, to escape this crappy world we call "reality", they overload their body with whatever their drug of choice is.
It's all a brain game. Drugs will take over their brain so that it is all that person can think about. They will make it their mission in life to get as much of the drug, whenever they can, however they can, from whoever they can. Relationships don't matter, only the drug.
to feel good
because they want to they are stupid!
substance abuse turns them into addicts. AS for why they do it, its fun [ only pot ].
to escape the pressures of life...
Becuase it turns off certain parts of the brain and just lets you chill. Then you don't have to think about all your problems.
they could be depressed, or just bored and want to try drugs, then they just keep wanting it and become addicted.
They dont value their life. They dont care about the people who are affected when they are addicted
people use drugs because they either think its cool or others peer pressure them.
Depression, lonely,or just curious.Either way its wrong.Alot of people don't know how to cope with problems so they take drugs to cope with life.>>>>
Well, I know I first started using hard drugs when I realized people couldn't type and always ran their words together and failed to start a sentence with a capital letter.
It is sad! I wish that i could be a truly helping hand to a lot of those people in need!
because there is people that need to fell wanted to they turn to drugs and some people that's all they now
1. In order to reduce unpleasant anxiety and depression feelings. These feelings are:
General, due to the human condition. Human being’s anxiety regarding life was very well described by philosophers of the existentialist school. According to them, human beings, without knowing why and what for, are thrown into a hostile or indifferent world. During their lifetimes human beings are permanently menaced by annihilation, confronted with absurdity, having but one certainty in relation to their future – that of their unavoidable death, happening in an unforeseen time and under unknown circumstances. According to the existentialist concepts, we could thus define life as a tragic, absurd and illogical adventure, that always ends by death.
Some authors say that, considering the existential condition, it is no wonder that man feels anxious, but that he feels so little anxiety.
Specific for certain individuals, originated by traumatic experiences or pathological conditions. Instances belonging to this kind are drug abuse by war veterans or persons affected by social phobias or depression.
2. In order to enhance bodily sensations and to induce sensorial gratification of aesthetic and, specially, erotic nature. Some drug users say that during the use of their drug of choice, music sounds better, colours are brighter and orgasm is more intense.
3. In order to increase psychophysical performances, by reducing unpleasant bodily sensations like pain, insomnia, tiredness or by overcoming physiological needs like sleep and hunger. During the Inca empire, coca leaves were chewed by porters and messengers to increase their resistance and speed. Amphetamine is frequently used by truck drivers to shorten the time of their trips.
A curious case was that of a young psychopath, examined by one of us, admitted to a mental hospital due to amphetamine intoxication. Working for a drug dealer, this young man became an amphetamine user in order to stay awake more hours, and thus have more time to sell drugs and get the approval of his boss.
Chronic pains and persistent insomnia are well known causes of different analgetics and hypnotics abuse.
4. As a way to transcend the limits of the body and the time-space yoke, in order to unite with the reality behind all phenomena or, in a more limited way, with some spiritual being that can give man, at least temporarily, special powers.
TREATMENT is GOD
At the beginning it makes them feel good...but as time goes on it makes them sad and depressed because they can't stop their addiction...Not everyone can turn into an addict...It's actually a disease and could be related to biological causes (or genetics...i.e. runs in families).
people get starte usually by peer pressure or just someone offers and they think they wont suffer from addiction
people use so they can escape from their reality and enter the world of rainbow and flowers...
hope it helps
bye!
to feel good because there idots
i took them cause i was going through a depressive stage but i will be honest i love doing it am hoping to get some more when i go on holiday in 3 weeks time oh and no am not an addict am just an occasional drug taker sometimes at weekends in night clubs.
i used to smoke/ingest meth. i wanted to be down with the big boys, thats all. i was 15 and they were in their early 20s (my friends older brothers). i got the chance to smoke with them once and i didn't stop everyday for the following 2 years. i started because i wanted to be down. after the first, second, or third time i was hooked. maybe its because i felt invincible, my self-esteem had never been (and since hasn't been) higher that that, and it kept me slim. all in all i felt like a god. i was superior. its strange watching people tweak now and seeing how fucked up they really look and act on it, because i see in their eyes how empowered they are feeling.
what helped me get off of it was a girl named mary jane. i traded smoking that evil crap for the au naturale marijuana. now being truly addicted to a drug, i can say i dont feel that way at all with weed. i toke about as much as an average person would enjoy a drink.
this is why i have concluded some substances make it really easy to become an addict, but it is ultimately the user's will that decides how addictive something can be. people drink coffee, simply because its an acceptable way in society to get high, and the physical side effects are not a visible making it easy for others to consider it non-harmful. people get addicted to that quick. the caffeen rush. can't get up without it. sounds like addiction to me. people let themselves be addicted to things, it just matters where you come from that allows you to be addicted to different things.
I don't have insurance so I can't afford pain meds or things to calm nausea and well...herbs are better for you than pharmaceutically enhanced pills that only work on one area of your body at a time. :D At least I know for certain what I'm putting in my body.
I think it is different for different people.
Some people want to escape from reality. The worries of the world pile up and they can't seem to forget them.
Other people may lack a desire to be responsible, so they enjoy doing anything that they really shouldn't be doing. Sometimes it may even be an inheritable trait. My nephew is an alcoholic, so was his father and his grandfather.
Some people may lack anything important in their life, so they turn to drugs because it makes them feel better temporarily, but when the drugs wear off, they feel worse, so they need more drugs to make them feel better. This is just exactly how people become addicted. They try it, and they like the way they feel when they use it, so they use it some more. Finally they start feeling horrible when they don't have it. Sadness is the ultimate effect of drug abuse. If you want a happy life stay away from drugs. I'm not just talking about illegal drugs. I know several people who are addicted to prescription meds that affect a person mental health.
Many reasons.
--They are unhappy. They self-medicate to feel better and get hooked by accident.
--Drugs feel good. Being an addict does not. They don't think they will get addicted and just want to try the high.
--Low self-worth. They don't know they are special and don't consider the risks or underestimate them.
--Boredom: They enjoy the social closeness of doing something with a group that makes them feel good.
--Pre-disposition: genetics play a role. Some people are genetically likely to become drug abusers
--Poor adjustment: Sometimes stress and social problems like a bad home life lead to experimentation, then dependence on the drug.
--Many people experiment with drugs and go on to live quality lives. Others have psychological and social problems that lead them further along into drug dependence, then are physically dependent on them, so stopping the drug is painful physically and emotionally, making stopping the use very difficult. If they do not have the resources and education available to seek the help to get sober, the drug use continues until either a hospitalization or incarceration breaks the cycle. Many are maladjusted and return to the drug, looking for the initial good feelings again.
That is pretty much why people use drugs and turn into addicts. Our brains have chemicals and pathways, that once exposed to addictive substances, make us feel bad until we get the drug back into our system. Ever seen a heroin addict when they are out of the drug? They vomit, they shake, they are weak and very, very ill, making them seek more heroin. The first time they used it, they felt incredible and then turned on their brain. After that, the brain demands the drug. If they stop supplying it to their body, they feel like the worst case of the flu or food poisoning you can imagine, but when get some heroin, they feel better. They never get back to the original high. They need more and more just to feel okay an stop the skin crawling sickness.
What makes you ask? Hope this explains it a little. If you look up drug addiction, there is a lot of info out there. Check out some brain scans of people who are high. The whole brain lights up. It make them want to do it again and again. Sad.
curiosity, plain and simple. its human nature to be curious. thats why i smoked pot. and i continue to do it because i enjoy it. it's not addictive, and at worst you get hungry and tired, and a bit forgetful with long term use, but it only affects your short term memory. plus its almost immpossible to OD on pot. you have to smoke your weight in pot to die from it. have you seen 138 pounds of pot? thats alot you couldnt smoke all that in one sitting. as for other drugs, once again curiousity. sometimes there those losers that do it to be cool, but whats cool about crack? not much. and people will continue to use it because coke, E, crack, heroin, affect the chemicals in your brain that your body naturally produce that makes you happy. but useing these drugs drains your body of these chemicals so the come down isnt fun mentally or physically. which leads to continual use. and eventually your body relys on the drug to produce said chemicals and your body all together stops making it. such is especially true for E.
Many people start using drugs to feel that they are a part of the group. The disease of addiction can then begin, either through a genetic predisposition or by a physical dependency created by excessive drug use. Addiction is a serious illness that often needs medical intervention before a treatment program can begin. The most frequent treatment suggested is a 12 step program. Good luck!
