How can i overcome the apprehension to donate blood ?

We all want to do what we can, but not everyone can do blood donations. There are surely things you can do that other race can't, also.
For instance, I don't do things that involve a lot of relatives contact, because those are things I hate and am not moral at. It's important to do something to oblige in the world, but the best course is to find something you really enjoy, and do that.
That said, if you still want to try blood donation, drink plenty of dampen beforehand (that also makes it travel faster). Don't look while they take the blood. If you still acquire dizzy, let them cosset you. Best of luck.

Just filch some deep breaths, try to relax, and close your eyes while they stick you and while the blood is man drawn. Good for you that you want to give blood!
i estimate you should not do it. as much as blood is needed i am sure the red cross would not want you to be sick! some people are in recent times not made for donating ,no biggie! at least your heart is within the right place!
