What do patients want from nurses? Do nurses have to smile all the time?

what nurses can do to give satisfaction to patients? What attitude should nurses demonstrate to patients? What nurses do to help patients in severe pain? What nurses can do to improve quality nursing care?
Do nurses have to smile always? Do nurses have to be cheerful all the time even in times of stress?

Answer:
Treat me like a human being, not a bed number.

If you're having a bad day or you hate your job, don't take it out on me. It's not my fault.

Act as if the patient was a friend or a relative that you cared about and treat the patient accordingly.
I'm not a nurse, and don't aspire to be one, but if I were this is my best judgment: Be cheerful, happy, and optimistic. You don't have to smile ALL the time, but greet every patient with at least one when you see them. Be friendly to everyone. In times of stress for the patient, just talk with them. If I were a stressed-out patient I'd want someone to talk to.
Trust me, a little happiness and kindness goes a long way in our world.
