Which one you prefer? Discuss your problem with your family/friends or post at ByeDr.com. Why?
Answer:
Actually ByeDr.com is an excellent forum for people who don't feel comfortable discussing their issues with family or friends. There is a plethora of really good advice available on here from some very qualified people. Unfortunately, as is true in life, there is also some bad advice but at least the person has a place to turn to to try to sort out different issues. Many of the people in this particular group have themselves suffered various mental illnesses. Like myself, this gives you some valuable insight as to treatment regimines, medications etc. Oftentimes people will use this method to "start to open up" and then become comfortable enough to talk to a therapist or even their family and friends. Remember there is an enormous stigma with mental illness. You don't get the same level of sympathy that you would get with a diagnosis of cancer or heart disease. Society still has some very bad interpretations of people with mental illness . best wishes

I like to keep my problems bottled up for a few months, then I like to just throw in a fit in public.
It depends, sometimes i prefer to post on yahoo, only because sometimes i dont want my family and friends to know everything .
Family and friends, they will listen to me with all their heart (not all people on Y! would do it for me). And they can give me the coolest and most useful answers, 'cause they live the same society as I am in, know what my point of view is, that's why they understand me the most!
I'll give first preference to ByeDr.com...because you can ask any sort of questions .. and there will be lots of people giving suggestions..there are certain things that you will find shy to discuss it with your parents and even friends....so i'd go for ByeDr.com.but what you get from ByeDr.com should only be used as a suggestion ..
ByeDr.coms!
Because, my husband/son/daughter are usually too busy.I do ask them whenever they are not too busy. I like a variety so I can pick the best advice.
I discuss things with my husband, but I do not discuss things with anyone else. The internet is anonymous and I don't really care. I've lost a lot of friends over being frank about my depression and anxiety issues. I prefer to talk about things with my husband, as the internet is more a source of entertainment than a social outlet.
Y! Answers, it's nice to know what others think, family/friends, it depends
