Is it fair that I am being treated different??

I was born 2 months early, and it seems, that when someone finds out, they treat me as though I have a desease that could kill them!!
There is nothing wrong with me, I am healthy and am 14 years old!!
Is this fair that people treat me like this??
What can I do to 1) feel better about myself when someone finds out 2) what do I tell them when they find out??

Answer:
wow. that's actually really cool. i think that it's cool to be different...i mean there's nothing different about it...it's just cool. i dnt see why any1 would treat u different aftr. that's kinda odd. but just dnt pay attention to it. it should make u feel unique and btr about urself if anything...being like every1 else suks. wen they find out just dnt say anything.
just tell them to go screw themselves a lot of people are born very early everyone in my family was. it doesnt change who you are just tell them that and dont worry about what they say because they probably know **** about anything
so how would anyone know you were born 2 months early unless you tell them, uh how about you stop telling them you were born early? that should do the trick!!
No, it's not fair. It just shows how superficial people can be. First of all, I wouldn't let anyone know. It's nobody's business anyway. This is more than likely a childish stage these people who are critical of you are going through. It's a tough stage for the recipients of some of these peoples comments though. Best thing to do is just go about your business. They will HOPEFULLY grow up some day. All the best sweetie!
they are just really stupid! i wouldn't worry about it. of course 14 yr olds are shocked by something they totally have to idea about. they haven't been exposed to the real world at all. being born 2 months early is not an uncommon thing. tell them that they need to educate themselves! and why even tell them anything at all. like what does you being born 14 years ago have to do with anything today?
i don't understand why you're even telling people this. it's no one's business nor is it relevant. like you said, you're perfectly healthy so why is the subject even brought up? anyway, if someone brings up the subject again just tell them yes you were a premature baby, but everything is fine. if they dont' understand what that means or they're scared you have something, that's just showing their own ignorance and stupidity. tell them to do some research so they won't remain that way throughout their life.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you and I am very glad you are healthy. When someone starts acting the fool, show them that it doesn't bother you and shouldn't bother them either. One way to do this is to make a joke and this should help the person feel more at ease and move on in their thoughts. It doesn't have to be a gut busting hilarious momumental joke, just something to lighten things up. You could say something cheesy like "You know me, really anxious for independence" or "it was dark in there" or something else a little bit riskier like "don't touch me, because everyone that does(pause)..their babies (pause)...are born naked." Or you could be a little more serious and say something like ________ (number) premature babies are born every year and _______% grow up to be completely healthy. thank God I am of the ______%. If you follow my advice or not, the important thing is to be confident and live vibrantly and intentionally.
It's either all in your head or you hang out with morons. From now on if someone says they were born early, don't feel like you have to have a pity party and share your sob story with them. Since when is being born early a handicap?
