What's wrong with me! I live 30 min from my family and I'll go for weeks without calling them......
Answer:
im not sure necessarily why, but i deal with a similar problem with my family
it may be that you are nervous that they disaprove of who you are and what your doing with your life.
my mom is very much that way... she has high expectations..
i tend to have difficulties with that...
and it may not even be that you are actually doing anything wrong, you may just have a little too much anxiety,
its not your fault that calling them worries you,
it happens...
just take a deep breath before you call or visit and thing about some things you could talk about with them before you pick up the phone, just so you are more prepeared...
anywhoo... good luck with the fam..
^.^
as a mother who has a sun who has no time for me - i can say this - you may be breaking their heart - and possibly when or if you find the time - it may not be pleasant - explore your feelings with a professional if it is causing you unease.
Same here. I'll go months without calling.
I suppose that I'm too caught up in my own life to remember to call. I'm WAY too independant and I really don't know what to talk about. I work, go home, go to sleep, wake up, and start all over again. Maybe my life is too boring to share? I dunno.
I do the same thing! It's not that I don't want to talk to them, I just seem to get involved with my own life and problems and keep putting it off.
Are they upset that you don't keep in touch more often? Do they call you?
A couple years ago, I started calling my mom every Saturday morning, and now if I don't.she gets all freaked out.
I don't think there's anything wrong with you. you just have other things going on in your life, so don't feel bad!!
I live 10 minutes away from my brother and I don't call him, and he doesn't call me, unless it's something really important. We do e-mail alot though.
