Effexor XR?

Why are you suppose to avoid alcohol when you are taking Effexor XR? Does it have any long permanent status consequences if you drink say once a week?


Answers:    I've be on this for nearly three months now and drink near it twice a week.

So far so good allowance li ok ,i'm drinking slower as i'm being reliable and i'm talking up to a bottle of wine:) but next to a glass of marine between each drink.I haven't have any spirit alcohol as i'm happy next to a beer or a wine.

When my doctor first described the pills,i asked if i could drink and he said of course but mind your Ps and Qs,know your limit,which is pious advice next to or without taking pills.

Drink slow,drink judiciously,have fun.
im on it and im still drinking resembling once or twice a week, no problems yet... i dont really know the reason behind why we're not supposed to drink while on it.
