If you are still seeing the counsellor later I suggest that you tell him/her that the suggestions aren't helping.

Obviously the subject business, and they way it is anyone taught, is cause you added anxiety in history. Is in attendance a form tutor or student support worker that you could have a word near. Maybe the teacher wishes someone to tell him/her that the means of access they are approaching the subject is actually cause some students distress (I guess you aren't the only one who feel uncomfortable.).

It would also be a honourable idea to move about and talk to your GP, explain what is taking place, they are there to relieve and support you, and they won't be shocked by anything you say.

I hope this help.
