I need help withdrawing myself from a series of negative emotions / thoughts.?

I've always been sort of a pessimist. I can't help it. I just keep thinking about the worse thing that can happen to me in a particular situation. Recently, I've been very involved in the thoughts of possibly being mentally ill (permanently) one day. I just feel like I might go to a mental hospital one day and would not be able to come out from it ever again. These negative thoughts link to each other and I find it VERY HARD to withdraw from it. I'm like sucked into a world of thoughts that keeps pulling me away from thinking reasonably. Are there useful methods of how i can withdraw from negative thoughts quickly and successfully? I REALLY need your help. ):

Answer:
first off you need a great ..big.hugeeeeeeee...HUGGGGG...
now sweetie i think we all feel like that on time or another in our lives..and well in order to quit with the negative thoughts we have to put in the POSITIVE thoughts ..
learn to love yourself and accept yourself as you are!! if you like the way you look then great.. and its like..we put ona cute outfit right?? and we love this outfit..but after we put it on..it just doesnt look good on us... well we arent going to wear it anyway..are we? well sweetie i dont know about you..but i sure as heck am not!! so we take it off..and try on another outfit we really didnt like but after we got it on we loved it..if felt so good and looked totally awesome.. well this is alot like our emotions
if one emotion and in your case the negative..isnt doing anything for us..except bringing us down more..then we ned to change that...ok??
i hope you are following this... dear... now its time when ya ge tup in the morning smile!! tell God how happy you are to be awakened another day..how beautiful it is even if its rainnin or snowing..ok?
ya gotta tell yourself..you love yourself and ready for whatever the days challenges are..that you cna do it..
dont have time to think about what ifs dear
you have your whole life to grow in..and you do this 1 day at atime... new challenges..lessons in and of life to learn..so many new friends to make and so many loves to go through as well
we learn as we grow and we learn by our mistakes
so sweetie..get ur butt up..stretchhh take 3 deep breaths..hold them for a count of 20 and slowly release out your mouth... obtw?? breath in through the nose
now get some juice dup tuneage on that makes ya happy and wanna dance and get a shower..get dressed and smile. tell yourself its gonna be fine today
yeahhh!!
and get out there and smile at all ya meet..and say owdees..ask someone hows your day etc... call a friend see if they want to hang out..go shoping etc.
take lifes journey because no matter how hard the challenges gets..it all works out for the best and you will be soooo educated and happy at what ya learn and findout about yourself
hugssss an god bless dear
btw sweetie? i have major brain farts all the time..so i dont think your MENTAL at all
i think your growing..changing and learning is all
First off, mental hospitals today wont keep you forever, even three weeks for a seriously mentally ill person is a long time. And yes, there are ways to learn better ways of thinking. Check with your local mental health center for availability of cognitivetherapy or RET. Good Luck - asnd No, i didnt mean anything else by it.
There are several things that you can do to get out of negative thinking. For one thing, there are medications that you can take that will alter your mood and help you to feel better. I would also recommend seeing a qualified therapist who can help you change the way you feel by changing the way you think. I was helped a great deal and now I'm "normal."
Dear, you probably need professional help. Look for a local Counseling Center and confide in the Therapist. They have Psychiatrist(s) on staff who can prescribe medication if they find it necessary. Don't try to fight this battle alone, as it may only get worse. You sound like you are miserable with these thoughts and truly need help. Good Luck.
I understand how you feel i think about the worse things all the time, i always she the things i do wrong but not right and i also have thought to myself will i be put in a mental hospital (permanetly) I really wish i could tell you how to withdraw but i seriously dont really know but part of me thinks that maybe you need to see a counsellor they could help you do this.
I will be hard but eventually you will withdraw and by the sounds of it you really want to which is the first step to succeding. Good Luck x x x
Sounds like you may be going through some mind depression.

Would recommend this excellent book:
"The Mindful Way through Depression:
*freeing yourself from chronic unhappiness"
BY: Dr. Williams, Dr. John Teasdale,
Dr. Zindel, and Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn Ph.D.
*Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn is also a Scientist.

The Book comes with a 77 min. CD by
Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn included. The book costs $19.99 at Barnes & Noble; but you could probably get a used one off Amazon.com for about $15.99, but then there is $3.00 for shipping.

An excellent book for anyone suffering from Chronic Depression or mild seasonal depression as myself.

Hope this helps. Have a great weekend.
