Nightmares treatment??
and it used to be just sleep...but now i cant eat, and i cant function during the day. im allways tired, hungry, and cant focus. i know if i got good sleep it would help...but even STRONG sleeping pills wont put me to sleep..so is there any kind of remedy? or something to help calm me down so im not so jumpy during the day? i REALLY need to sleep, eat and go through a normal day!! i'd really prefer a natural/ herbal/homeopathec kind of treatment, but i would take some kind of meds. and my dr. says that some nightmares are normal. BUT I HAVE THEM EVERY NIGHT. its slowly killing me. thanks..

Sounds like you have night terrors. That must be awful. Sometimes sleeping pills get you the sleep but never really scratch the surface of the issues that are causing the nightmares.
I know that you said none were working, but which ones have you tried? Ambien is pretty gentle, but in higher doeses can put you down for 8 or more hours. Maybe your Doctor could prescribe some That would ease tension during the day and then you would take a higher dose at night to help you sleep.
The only problem with sleeping pills and relaxers is that they are all addictive if taken for a while.
I would talk to your family Doctor and if he/she cant help to refer you to a psychologist that has experience with night terrors.

I'm not kiddin'... what it sounds like is hat i o through... they are called Night Terrors.
from what you said, i think you have night terrors. the thing that may help you is a combination of sleeping pills and talk therapy. there may be reasons that you have these night terrors. i hope you get the help you need so yo have live an active and full life. good luck. :]
