This advice isn't expert, and may sound silly, but what about a hobby? I'm going through a pretty rough patch right now myself and one thing I really get excited about and look forward to is my hobby. Try to figure out the things you look forward to doing and try to focus on doing something spectacular with it. If you have friends or family you can share it with all the better. And being around nice people always seems to cheer me up. I hope you feel better soon!
Could be caused by the AD you are currently on.
Here are a few steps you need to take ASAP.
1. Tell someone. Family, Friends.
2. Tell your doctor ASAP. If you are not seeing a shrink. Go ASAP. You need to see a specialists. A change of meds is probably the best idea.
3. Find a new therapist to talk with. If there is no connection between the two of you, find someone better.
4. At least you know you have an issue and do not want to act on it. Hang in there, get some help and you can solve the problem.
I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. I too am on anti-depressants for Post Natal Depression/Anxiety. I have been on them for just over a year. In the beginning I too would constantly think of death, and suicide. It is part of the depression. The thoughts of suicide did go away, but I do occasionally still think about death. It's more that I worry about something happening to me, which is the anxiety I now have. This doesn't happen much, usually around my menstral cycle! You may need to try a different medication or up your dosage..I take 20mg of Lovan (Prozac) every day. Not sure what you are taking or what type of anti-depressants, but I would suggest seeing your GP. Some people have to try several different ones before they find one that suits them. Best wishes to you.
I am so sorry to hear that you feel this way. i too, have experienced what you are going threw. i was depressed for about 8 years. seriously madly depressed. cryed everyday, the whole nine yards. it didnt get to the suicidal stage until this past year. my grandfather was killed in a horrific accident that claimed his life. i went absoultley into a stage of depression i had never been. this caused my fiancee of 4 years to leave me because i had changed so much and he only tryed to help matters. he was great. so i started looking for help the same way you are. i had lost everything or everyone i loved. but then i read somewhere that God doesnt have to let you live. He can take the life out of you as quickly as He put it in. You can be here today, and gone tommorow. Because of Him. If you dont appreciate the life he has given you, He can take it away. So realize that you are important. you have a purpose. God doesnt make anything without a purpose. he knew from the moment he created you what time and hour you would die. he still has lots of plans for you. you just have to swallow your pride and switch doctors. have them put you on another antidepressant. do this before its too late.

First, take it easy, take a few deep breaths RIGHT NOW and if you are thinking about it right this minute call someone...talk to them..talk and talk..until you feel better.OK.now if you still feel that way, get them to take you to your local ER.don't wait.GET SOME HELP TONIGHT, especially if you have thought of plans (ways to do it), it definitely could be your medication has stopped working, it could definitely need to be changed. It could be a chemical issue, and it could even be all of the above..HOWEVER, you need to see someone....as soon as possible and talk to a doctor, NOW would be better...It would probably be best to talk to a PSYCHIATRIST..
Also, I would suggest you start writing...write in a journal, at least every other day....if not every day..this is my solution to a lot of things....I write all the time.it has helped me in several ways...I have a depression issue and I have also lost weight both through journaling...it eases my depression, lessens my anxiety, it has also helped me to see why I eat (out of boredom, anxiety, stress, or whatever), but just write all your feelings down, this will also help you when you go to the doctor for him to help see your feelings..and then later you will be able to see how much you have improved....
I have wrote for years.I have tons of notebooks and I see how far I have come...It will help you...
Anyway, PLEASE go to the ER....or call a hotline.I noticed someone posted a number..PLEASE do something tonight...DONT WAIT....
GOOD LUCK and also If you are a praying person.PRAY.Pray for the LORD to take these feelings away...HE will help you..
GOD BLESS YOU and GOOD LUCK.
what ever you do dont kill yourself there are many people that love and care about you. There are so many things in this world you could miss all becasue your not satrisfied with your life. I dont know why you want to.. but if you have a positive mental attitude about everything it really does lift up your day... also going to church and growing a good relaashionship can help. He loves you just as much as all of us. i say you should give church a try or get togather and talk to somone.
Please don't kill yourself. Even if you don't want to kill yourself, hate to say it, but you might let your conscience take over and force you to do something. Whenever you wake up, and have that death thought, remind yourself, "I have a good life. I'm too young to die." This should help. Email me anytime if you need help.
You need to report this to your doctor ASAP
Unfortunately, many medications can do more harm than
good. But, if you're taking medication for depression, then
I'd have to think that you are not seeing the right sort of therapist.
Listen. I've been through the very same thing you're now
going through, and I've come to realize that when it comes
to psychaistrists, therapy is a misnomer: They can give
the appearance of being therapists, but their expertise-
of-specialty is what they know about medicines; not
what they know about talking with you on a "1-to-1",
down-to-earth basis. (That's exactly what a P.h.D --
a psychologist --can do. It's what they're trained to do.)
If your current "therapist" is a psychaitrist and he/she
isn't being helpful, then don't waste your money; find
a psychologist.
After all, your satisfaction with any therapist starts
with just how honest with them you're willing to be.
But if they're someone you're not comfortable with,
you CAN'T BE honest with them!
Talk to a regular physcian about tapering-off those
medications that don't seem to be doing you any
sort of good. But, then--a.s.a.p.--find a psychologist
to see.
Last but not least: your thoughts of suicide are also
somewhat misleading. Panic and/or anxiety attacks
are both an overwhelming of all negative feelings; it's
because of being so overwhelmed that you will not
be able to think clearly. That's not your fault. But what
you must understand is that the #1 feeling of a panic
or anxiety attack is a cetain "f" word: "frustration"!
And frustration can become one huge mental block.
You say you have a good life? Good! So do I. And
it's because of that that you need to realize you are
not going to be honest with yourself when you have
an attack--because you CAN'T BE!
Think about it. Try what I've said. And, in the words
of my psychologist, Jeffrey Simon Friedman, P.h.D.:
"Please be well."
Yes, you definitely need to visit your psychiatrist and tell him or her about your continued suicidal thoughts. Even if you're pretty sure you won't follow through, it is still very distressing to experience those kinds of thoughts so frequently. Those daily thoughts are a sign that your antidepressant is not doing an adequate job of addressing your depressive symptoms. Make an appointment to see your psychiatrist ASAP. He or she will definitely be concerned and want to talk to you. Best of luck!
