Help! I think I need to go into the hospital for mental health/ suicidal needs. Which hopsital in So Cal #1?
I have neen to some that suck big time and would rather not. anyone have a good experience anywhere?

I can see why you want to pick a place that's good, especially since you've been to some lousy hospitals. But it's not always that easy to just pick and choose, even if someone does recommend a really good one.
First of all, if you have insurance a lot depends on whether the hospital accepts your type of insurance. Not all hospitals accept all types of insurance and private hospitals are especially picky about this. If you don't have insurance then your choices are even more limited.
Secondly, with a lot of psychiatric hospitals (especially if it's private) a patient has to be admitted by a physician. In other words they can't just walk in and ask to be admitted. The exception is if you want to go to a hosptial that has a "mental health inpatient unit" which is a little different than a psychiatric hospital because these units are smaller and sometimes less specialized in their care. If you want to go to a hospital that has a mental health unit, then you can go into their E.R. and let them know how you're feeling so that you can get admitted.
What I'd suggest that you do is go to your local mental health center or your local hospital and talk to someone about what is going on. Tell them how you're feeling, your concerns and the bad experiences you've had in the past. This way, maybe the doctor, couselor or even a social worker can help you find a good place that is best for you. If you're feeling like harming yourself please do this right away. People who are going to kill themselves don't worry about which hospital to go to. That should be the least of your worries. This seems like your screaming for attention. Just tell your parents and they can call Social Services or Mental Health. Look it up in your phone books blue pages.
It originally said "kid care" I see you changed it. That's why I suggested social services. But if you have children then social services should be called anyways. Apparently it's not a safe home environment. Contrary to the nasty email you sent me, I do hope you remain safe, don't harm yourself and find help. You sound like you need it.

or you can try to find mental health hospital you can find it in the phone book well you need to make a walk in appointment then you will be going so often you might need meds some how if they see you that you need them they might see your dignoses how you feel and if you are under depresion and if you have bipolar well i am no telling you are likr that they will find out something if you keep feeling that way well if you need to talk abou something feel free to email me and ask me oh by the way i have bipolar and depresion and add it stands for Adult Deficit Disorder
