Do what she says. Trust me, it's the only way. Women NEVER shut up. Your dad is right. Talk to your mom too. Help her understand you and your intentions. Say things to her like "I understand" when she starts bitching and asking you to do stuff. That way, when she starts up and says "Why haven't you done this" Just say, I never said I'd do it, I just told you I understand, which does not mean yes. otherwise it is best to do what she says. Its impossible for a woman to shut up
If it was you doing the b**ching, would there be anything anyone else could do to make you shut up? I'm not just being snide -- I'm trying to make the point that you can't do anything about other people's habits. Don't waste your energy trying to change her, and don't believe your stepdad that it's just "how women act". Sure, some women do that, and so do some men -- but that's irrelevant. It's how your STEPMOM is acting -- and unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it except try not to waste too much energy on it.
kill her with kindness (no matter how irritated you get with her)
start saying "it doesn't matter, we (dad and I) still love you" (no matter how much it hurts you to say it)
Be patient woman, this will pass! just like when you have a period--(NO, don't say that; I had to try to make you LOL)
