How do you...?
P.S.Only answer if you know what derealization is!
Answer:
The more you give derealization credibility, the longer it stays with you. As anxiety levels are reduced, derealization disappears. As long as your mother ignores you and not support you the more anxiety you have an thus not decressing the symtoms of derealization...everyone has to pitch in with you on this so you can decrease the stress and or anxiety which will help you get through your issue. hope this helps
Have you talked to your doctor about it? Or a psychiatrist or psychologist? That's a mental thing and somebody with a license needs to help you with that. Were you actually diagnosed with it, or did you just decide that's what you had based on reading on the internet?
If you truly have been diagnosed with this and are not diagnosing yourself then you best bet is to keep up with your meds and therapy. If you have not seen a psychiatrist then I highly suggest that you see one because this condition is related to bi-polar disorder closely and can be dangerous to yourself and to others. Please seek treatment and don't be embarrassed to discuss this with a doctor. If your mother doesn't seem to care you need to go to an outside source such as a school counselor or teacher that can help you get some help.
The more you give derealization credibility, the longer it stays with you. As anxiety levels are reduced, derealization disappears. I would try to get control of the anxiety by usung breathing techniques, or finding the cause of your anxiety...(is it your mom). Tell her how creepy it makes you feel, and tell her it is real and it bothers you. I think that would be a wierd sensation.
Derealization is generally seen in people with dissociative identity disorder. Derealization is clinically manifested by feelings that one's surroundings are unreal. I hope that you are getting professional help as this can be a very serious but treatable condition that must be diagnosed by a doctor who conducts a thorough psychologic interview. Medication can alleviate anxiety or depression related to this condition but won't affect the disorder itself. I hope that your mom will learn as much as possible about derealization and get you the professional help that you need. Best wishes and I hope you will let me know how you are doing..
