Prozacs effect on memory?

I have been taking Prozac for about 4 months, to treat OCD, and am worried that it may be effecting my memory. I have a photographic memory, but recently I have found myself not being able to memorize what I used to, as well as not being able to read at the speed I am accustomed to. Has anyone else experienced any sort of decreased memorization ability while on Prozac??

Thanks for the help

Answer:
Wow, that sounds scary.

I've been on P for about 7 weeks and it actually helps my memory, as it calms me down enough to focus on specific things (i.e. trying to recall facts and figures, etc.)

I would definitely mention this to your P Doc next time you go in for an appointment. I'm sure there are other meds that may benefit OCD without negatively affecting your memory.
Could you repeat the question, please?
Perhaps it's affecting your ability to concentrate? I couldn't sit still worth a damn while taking Prozac.
