How do you..?
Answer:
you shouldn't IGNORE IT. the first step is to figure out the cause? i don't want to be presumptuous, but i have to ask ... do you do any kind of drugs? a lot of times, these (hallucinagenics) can cause the sense of unreality, or alcohol if consumed in large quantities.
if you do not do either of these ... do drugs or drink a lot ... then you still have to know what's causing you to feel the way you do. is it because you want to ignore your life, so you create a world of unreality, to escape? stress can cause it too. or is it something you don't know the cause of & just want to stop it?
these are all very important questions. have you been diagnosed for a neurological disorder, or perhaps you have one that you're unaware of.
in any case, it's something that really should be "treated." i hate doctors, and i don't trust them (i don't trust western medicine) but in your case, you should probably seek help, whether it's from a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or a homeopathic doctor that may be able to help you a little more than i or anyone on here could.
i wish you the best.
Dear Duh...your question can best be answered by asking another one. If you had diabetes could you just ignore it and expect it to go away? While therapy will help with derealization, it has to be combined with medication in order to be effective. Remember when you are talking about brain chemistry it is the same as talking about any other organic illness.
