Answer:
you need to talk to a parent or an adult you can confide in. hurting yourself is not normal! what have you been through that you want to cause pain to yourself? this is not normal feelings for 13 year old. please show the adult what you have done so they can get you treated, you are at an age where puberty is making you crazy anyways and if you have other mental issues you need medication, if you cannot talk to anyone close to you then please call a hot-line you can find them in the front of the phone book where you live. and all of these calls are confidential, I wish you luck and hope you get help you have so much of life to look forward to! it is ashame that a person doesn't realize how precious life is until they get too old to enjoy it! I wish you luck hun and please get help anyway you can.
I agree with Barky.you really need to speak to someone and tell them exactly what you are feeling...there is help out there, its a matter of wanting to help yourself..you have already taken the first step by admitting something is wrong, now you just have to figure out WHAT is wrong..good luck!!
Please get help! Call 1-800-SUICIDE and talk with someone who can help you! Do it NOW!!
crazy is a strong word for it..I looked it up and I dont think you fall under any of the categories expressed in my source, but I don't know the whole story, I suggest you read my link. Although you are doing it out of curiousity, it is dangerous and you may actually harm yourself. I just suggest you talk to somebody your close to about it.

Those are signs of extreme stress and anxiety. You should see a professional.
Try punching a pillow instead of hurting yourself. Buy one of those bags one hits with gloves on. And beat it up. Every time you feel like hurting yourself.
You are not going crazy. You are suffering from a mild depression. This is an ILLNESS which requires early treatment. Talk to a school counsellor, nurse, a teacher you trust or a doctor, and tell them what you have just said here.- but do it now or you really will have serious problems.
Trust me, I've been there.
Good luck!
I don't think you're crazy, sweetie. I think you have some issues, or have had some serious drama in your life. If at all possible, confide in a trusted adult, anyone who will listen. You need help. A minister or school counselor would instantly know who to put you in touch with. Call a local helpline if your area has one, or call your local mental health center. They can talk to you and offer suggestions. They will know how to help you. Good luck, I'll be praying for you.
You do need help, but you aren't "crazy" in the sense i suspect you mean i.e. losing your mind. What you describe is fairly common at your age, so don't think you are the only one. There could be several reasons behind this. Quite often, people harm themselves in order to feel something, as they may otherwise be emotionally numbed to the outside world, and this can follow traumatic or abusive events from childhood. If this is the case, you may feel some form of relief or "reality" following self-harm, which only serves to reinforce the behaviour. Or you may be depressed and feel some degree of worthlessness and self-loathing, leading to the same actions. Or maybe life is just too out of control at the moment, and you feel this is one area in your life where you can HAVE control (if this is the case, you may also have different eating habits to your friends).
Whatever the basis is, you should speak to someone about this-and don't just pick the first counsellor in the book, they're not always qualified. Talk to your family doctor, a psychiatrist or psychologist. At 13, you should also tell your parents or guardians, as they will probably start to notice soon anyway, and the stress of making excuses to cover your arms, or reasons for the marks, will only make you act out more. When you do tell them, try to do it as calmly as possible and emphasise the fact you are not suicidal (if this, as I suspect, is the case), as they are likely to freak out and jump to this conclusion, which is completely normal for them to do in this situation. Whoever you see would have to tell your parents anyway as there are safety issues and you are a minor, and it is unethical and dangerous for him/her to assume that responsibility.
Also, from a practical point of view, you need to get your wounds checked as they may become infected and increase scarring. There is help out there, and it is scary making the first step. It may even get a little more stressful in the short term while everyone gets to grips with it, and there will possibly be a lot of blaming going back and forth, but it does get easier with time and help, and you may eventually see this as a growing experience as many your age, and older, do once they come through the other side.
Good luck
crazy means you have lost touch with reality altogether. you havent. trust me. what this means is probably that you are going through something really stressful or you are depresssed. you hurt yourself, and this is what i heard someone else say, because you would rather feel physical pain to distract you from the mental pain you are going through. anyway, you need help. dont be ashamed to go to a pschologist. find a legitimate one. it seems poiuntless know, but talking to someone helps. i am doing that now and i am doing well. good luck.
