I need to know more about synesthesia. Not urgent, just curiosity.?

I heard of this "condition" called synesthesia, seeing/feeling things and relating them to colours and numbers and such. Ever since I was young I have been able to picture in my mind different colours for letters, number, and days of the week particularly. This spiked my interest, but it's not as strong as I read about, and I don't actually see it, I just have it in my mind. Also if theres already a set colour, it will bother the hell out of me, and really make me uncomfortable. Do I have it, just mildly? Is there a way to cheaply get tested? Any information is appreciated.

Answer:
I saw something on television about this recently and found it fascinating. I don't know a lot about it other than what I watched but it sounds like you could possibly have it. I came across a very good website that may be helpful for you, called Mixed Signals. You can find it at http://www.mixsig.net/

Sometimes universities will do studies and research on synesthesia so, if there is a school near you, give them a call and find out if there is a study going on now or in the near future.

Take care and best of luck to you.
