Pmdd issues-scared bf will leave!!?

i was just recently diagnosed with pmdd and wanted to know if there are any other women out there going through this same thing.

i have horrid mood swings(crying spells, irritable, snap at everything, etc) about a week before my period starts and then once it starts-the symptoms disappear.

my dr put me on yaz birth control pills and they work great but they are not covered by my insurance and cost about 50 bucks a month. i'm a single mom of 3 so this month i was unable to get my pills and the symptoms returned.

i spent the past 4 days treating my bf so badly that we got into a huge fight today and i'm worried that he'll leave. he did tell me that he loved me when we left for work (we both work nites) and that he just needed a few days of space to calm down and relax.

i hate having this condition-it makes me almost suicidal each month and my bf is getting the brunt of it all. i'm so worried that he'll leave. i see a counselor but the pills are what works but they cost so much!

Answer:
i suggest you tell him you have PMDD and tell him everything! tell him y you were having those spells and everything..tell him you are sorry and that you didnt mean to do it al...it wasone of the crazy spells...hope that helps!
One suggestion would be to discuss this with your physician.
Explain to her/him that you cannot afford the cost; but on
the other hand, physically and emotionally you cannot afford
not to be on the medication.
Perhaps your doctor can prescribe something helpful but not
so expensive or something that your insurance will cover.
If your income is low, there might be some kind of assistance
available to help pay for the medication. Social services,
your local pharmacy, or even online searches may avail you
of the information necessary to determine if you qualify
for any assistance.
My heart goes out to you, that with insurance (or even if you
had none) you need a medication that is beyond your
ability to pay for it.
You probably feel much better about yourself when you are
able to take it, more able to cope with your children as well as your boyfriend---not to mention the stressors of life.

I wish you all the best
