Is it bad to stay up all night?

ok..... Is it bad to skip one day of sleeping of your entire life?

just one day and that night youll go to sleep?

Answer:
I don't think it's that big of a deal really. I watch this show on Discovery Channel called "Deadliest Catch" and these guys stay up three or four days at a stretch at times. It's just part of their work and what they do. I would expect they'd have awful insomnia when they got home though trying to wind down. But it's all in the individual. Everybody has different sleep needs. I knew this one person online and his regular sleep schedule was stay awake 72 hours, sleep 12-16 hours and stay up 72 hours again. He was fine with that. (I can't imagine how long he'd have been up if he had insomnia!)
I do not think so if it;s not a habit
Yes! It throws your body clock out of whack.
If it's one day, then it's okay, but if you continuously do it, you will gain weight and mental unrest.
Quite a few people do that. Students approaching exams, doctors starting night shifts, travelling businessmen.

Not necessarily harmful in the long-run. You will feel pretty lousy that day though! Apply caffeine generously.
It won't hurt you to stay up all night one night. You'll feel tired and grumpy the next day, but if you are contemplating a sleep-over, just enjoy yourself...its not healthy to do all the time but it won't hurt you for one night.
Ive heard that it can put strain on your heart
yea, but I love doing that lol.just watching movies for whole night...
One night isn't going to hurt you. Just remember that you can never catch up on the sleep you lost. If you continuously miss sleep, your body will be negatively affected.
