I can't blame you. Nothing good ever comes in the mail. I also don't like to answer my phone for the same reason.

It is not dumb because you gave a good reason. You said things are getting better now so why don't you go to a financial adviser at the bank (it is free) and see if you can get help setting up a budget and then stick to it. If you can they may even give you a loan to consolidate your debts but take their advice not mine. That is what they are there for.
take a deep breath...and take comfort in the courage tht you had to go and claim bankrupcy. i am sure that once all your ceditors have been notified that you claimed, the calls and letter will stop and the mailbox won't be so stressful for you. just take a lesson from this and carry on! you are obviously a very good person that came across hard times and had to do what was best in the situation. carry your head high, call and friend and go enjoy a coffee and tea and a few laughs and enjoy gettng back into a life you are in more control of. take good care and smile and feel good about yourself!!
If you have no money problems anymore don't be scared checking your mailbox. If the bill's are payed, i can't realize why are you so worried? Calm down. Everything will be okay.
if you filed bankruptcy a few months ago then why are you scared of big bills? did you create more after the bankruptcy hearing?
I understand since i lost my job due to illness. Everytime i think that i am caught up on bills another one comes in. Im not terrified of the mail box but more from the creditors that call. Look at it this way...if they cant take your house from credit cards and they cant take you as a person they cant take your birthday away. So pay what you can and make the best of the things you have.
