How do u feel about Wellbutrin XL ?
Tnx in advance.
Answer:
I'm one who thinks it's great.
The only side effects I had were awful headaches for the first week, but those went away.
I lost weight at first, but put it back on and have maintained my normal weight on it. I have plenty of energy and it gave me back the sharpness and wit that I'd always had before.
Drugs work on different people in all sorts of ways, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
As far as withdrawal, it got lost in my luggage on a trip once, and I felt just fine until it could be replaced a week later.
I only take 150 mgs of XL a day, perhaps you should start like that.
Good luck :)
I am allergic to Wellbutrin. I had a lot of side effects from it before I became allergic but I have had other friends take it with no problems.
Get ready to put on the pounds. It is a temporary fix. You will feel better and even loose weight temporally. But it eats up your muscle. It makes you soft all over. Soft is not a good thing. You want to be tight and tone. So after a few months you will get flabby fat. I wish I never used it. Wasn't worth it. Also causes restless leg syndrome.
Natural Alternative: Chaste Tree Berry.
Worked for me when I needed it. Good luck! Hugs, Gina C.
I love it. I've been on it for a few years and I haven't had any side effects and it's the only thing I've found that actually helps my depression. Everybody reacts differently to anti-depressants, though.
I don't know about it 'eating muscle', but I suspect the reason you get 'soft' all over is because like most anti-'s, you lose motivation, ambition and zone out. You lay around, hence, you get out of shape. I seriously doubt the FDA will release a product know for 'eating muscle'.
I tried Wellbutrin, I wasn't too thrilled about it. Mostly for the above reasons. But the big reason was the total loss of sexual libido. I will never try it again for that reason. I'm not sure how this will compare with women though.
I do suppose it's worth a try as long as you realize you don't HAVE to be on medication to 'stabilize' you. It really is just a temp thing.
I can't take it.
