My heart goes out to you, I am afraid that I do not know the answer to this particular question but I do know that any combination of medication could exacerbate problems for certain types of people, if this is known that this drug can do this to people then they should have been observing him and monitoring him for signs of trouble. I am so sorry for your pain.
I wish you the best of luck in your fight.
Your story is heart wrenching and I am sorry that you are going through something this horrible. While I apologize that I don't have an answer to your question, I hope that everything turns out for the best for you and your situation. God bless and keep your head up.

Suing the government is usually fruitless, especially the military. My husband died of a cerebral brain hemorrhage in West Germany waiting on orders to his next duty station.
The Army refused to return his body or release his benefits because they stated he was technically out of the service at the time.
They sent him to West Germany prior to receiving his orders so he could help with the command. Since he wasn't officially there, he had to stay off base until his orders were cut. It was a nightmare dealing with the German authorities and his family went into heavy debt because of it. We never received an apology or his benefits.
