Im 14 and really depressed. Help?
Answer:
i am have similar issue as you. i hated my childhood . iam now 13. i ve been even self-harming my self. i have seems to be in a stress and depression cycle since i am 8. my stress and depression problems comes around once in two years.
In my recent events, i know i cant keep my depression as a secret anymore. i am not eating anything lost weight, cant sleep,, i isloated my self I can not stand the depression anymore so reached out and try to get help. I didnt go to my parents beacuse they always ignores me and dont take me serious enough. so i told my form tutor. She helped me a little bit by talking but i have a personality of taking peoples emtions on board. i felt even worse about myslef because if any thing happen to me she will get the blame cos of what the law says. I am doing extremely well in school, but it was just a distraction from my own real problems. I cant concentrate in class and feel like i am failing all the time. i am 13 and i cant even picture my self doing GCSE. I feel like i dont deserve to be in this world.
I belive that your Xbox is your passion at least it distract you for now, Try to do thiings that u like , i dont want you to become me (self harming).
Try to not think about god. You could be relying on your religious faith too much. cos if u believe the existance of go d but in real life God existance is not definet. Try to think about your good times. Tell people who u know and you about this because talking does help. but make your choices carefully make sure it doesnt causes you more problems or feeling even worse ( i like me). Cry when you feel like it dont hide cos iit just make the tesion worse.
Hey DOnt Worry Be haapy
Find something else to occupy you. I use my computer, movies, books, or sometimes go exercise. I would suggest a therapist, but I have been to many and they all say the same thing.. Just distract yourself.
you need to go and get professional help. You came to the wrong place for something like this. Tell your parents that you need to go see a councilor. I am sure they have some at your high school too and they keep it confidential and you wouldn't have to tell your parents. Up to you but you should really go to someone that can get to the root of your problem.
get out of the house and hangout with your friends, talk about your depression even if you think noone hears you they do. tell your parents how you feel and maybe even ask to talk to your doctor about it.
yo... pick up a skateboard and watch some trick tips!
depression is very serious and its not what you have or dont
i feel that way sometimes
go out and get a girl friend
im available and seriously im thirteen
email me if you need anything
try watching baseball and maybe eating foods which are your favouritre.
Depression can be treated...i know for myself because i went through rough years dealing with myself..i ended up cutting myself when it got worse;do not let it get to that point..i would cry for hours and had thoughts of killing myself...and every year it got worse...when you are depressed little things can set you off(i know)... go to therapy and go to your doctor...and sometimes medication is needed and other methods...my mother didn't realize i was so depressed until she saw the markings on my arms...before i was too afraid to go to my parents because i didn't want to worry them...turned out i worried them more by not telling them.
Why don't you try something else to keep your mind off from things. I find jigsaws very useful for this, also reading can be good but just cannot concentrate beyond a few pages so seems to take forever.
Also maybe talk to a school councellor or your teacher if you believe your parents are not listening effectively. Try sheduling weekly gaming sessions (football or whatever your thing is) with your friends so you can all meet but be active at the same time.
The best of luck, and I hope that you feel better soon.
You need to see a doctor. They will be able to discuss options with you and possible refer you for counselling.
find other activities. make online friends and go to the pool or somethin. do you like sports? you could go to the gym. getting a job is an option. it'll keep your mind off for aawhile.
Please see a counselor. They can provide you with personal insight and it's confidential. You'd be surprised how much you can grow with that kind of assistance. Also, you are at a very difficult age (actually will be for a few more years). Not to negate what you're going through, but it's very common for teens to experience depression. Have hope and be strong. your future is wide open, and it really can be anything you make it. Oh yeah, make sure you respect your body by staying in shape! Get off the couch!
you need to talk to a Counselor or teacher at school or even your pastor at church A.S.A.P. I did that and my counsoler and youth pastor helped me as soon as they found out. If it's going to be a while before you can do that keep on praying and reading the Bible. Write your feelings down in a journal... talk to a friend you can trust that always helps me.Remember though no matter how angry and depressed you are don't hurt yourself and NEVER attempt Suicide... Suicide is never the answer.
maybe you just haven't found a true passion... everyone is passionate about something. if you find this passion it could be what keeps you going.
i sort of know how you feel. when i lost my dad i was pretty much depressed for a year, that was when i was 12.. and i kept feeling sad for a few. i think finding a true passion would help.
