Is it possible to have both OCD and autism?

Answer:
Definitely though with my son the OCD behaviors are considered a symptom of the autism rather than a separate condition.
Yes...many times they go hand and hand. My brother has both.
Yes.
I don't know. I do think it is not only possible but likely. Not scientifically proven yet.
I think that a lot of autistic people have OCD. From what I understand that is somthing that goes along with it a lot of times.
Yep. I know someone who has asperger syndrome (which is related to autism), bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADHD. So I am sure it is possible.
Absolutely..this entirely common among autistics.
One third of persons with autism also have Tourette Syndrome. Tourettes frequently includes OCD. My kids are both autistic, and both display signs of OCD.
