lol, i had the same problem when i was your age. I am 21 now and i find it very easy to talk to girls when you try to depreciate their looks in your mind, and by also thinking that they are no better than anyone else and are just normal people with problems as well.
shy and nervous is normal but warm up fast so that it doesn't seem that you are like that all the time. Realize too that it can be a turnoff and just decide that you are going to be yourself.
well just imagine the girl was one of your guy friends or someone you know really well. theres no need to be nervous. Whats the worse she could Say? No, then move on. do you have something your really interested in. if you do then talk about that. or go on a group date that should make you less nervous this way no pressure.

When you go up to talk to a girl it makes it so that if she likes you she doesnt have to go up and talk to you, which would make her feel shy and nervous, and like you she doesnt like that feeling.
