I am 5'8 and how tall will i be when im 18 my mom is 5'7" and my dad is 5'8"?
Answer:
Males typically stop growing at 15-16, while girls stop growing at 12-14 (sometime after their first menses). While jumping (and playing basketball) may help stimulate the growth plates in bones, it probably won't overcome your genetics. In other words, it sounds like you are probably maxed out.
Easy formula: if you are a male, take your mother's height, add two inches, and average that number with your father's height. If you are a girl, take your father's height, subtract two inches, and average that number with your mother's height.
If your parents are that tall, you probably won't get much taller. But you'll just have to wait and see. There is nothing you can do or take that will make you grow more than you will naturally. No supplements, vitamins, herbs, prescriptions, exercises, sports, stretches, jumping..nothing. You could play basketball 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it will not make you grow.
You probably will stay at your current height. You may grow one or two inches, but from the information we have, you seem like you are at your adult hight.
well you're lucky i'm only 5'6, enjoy it even though you are 2 inches below average male height. you won't get any taller its all genetic based
I need to know more information
UR DEFINATELY NOT GETTIN ANY TALLER MY MOM IS 5.8 AND MY DAD IS 6'2.5 AND IM ONLY 6'2 UR PROLLY NOT GONNA GET TALLER THAN UR DAD THATS Y SHORT PEOPKE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BREED LOL
NO ONE KNOWS!!! anyone that is actually giving you a height is just stupid or joking.
ok the first response is way off,a 5'7'' girl is like a 6'2'' man, youll probably be about 6'1-2'', and easily 6'0'' and thats very accurate!!
The only way you can know is by growing older. Doctors can't really tell you or fill you in based on your parents without looking at you or doing actual tests.
My Uncle is 5'9" his wife is 6'0". They had six children in order: female 5'7", female 6'0", male 6'2", male 6'4", male 6' 8", and the youngest was male and 7'0". A very tall family indeed. And it looks very strange when I am with them because I am only 5'0 and people have a hard time believing I am related to them being so short.
At 24 the doctors said he was still growing and they were right because he was 6'10" at the time. What I am saying is you never really know until you actually stop growing.
You are still growing. I can not really say how tall you will be when you are 18. Guys stop growing at the age of 20 or 21. I am not sure why someone here said guys stop growing at the age of 16 or 18. I grew 1 inch a year from the age of 13 to 21 (I made a record of it every year until I was 23). Your Dad compared to your Mom is shorter. I guess you got your mothers height. IF you grow like 1 inch a year like I have, you might reach over 6 feet. Anyway get enough rest, eat good food and avoid vices (smoking, liquor, drugs)
