I started jogging going on for two years ago i had them at first but afterwards they went away and i jog alot when they did i was doing similar to 5 miles a day. i took two months past its sell-by date and started back at three miles and i get shin splints every time, so i took time off to permit my shins heal and very soon i get them after 1/2 a mile. So my query is it true that if you train them slow enough they will strengthen and build serenity. and if not later please someone give me answers to lend a hand i have bought the best running shoes here are and nothing is helping.

Exercise to try and prevent shin splints occurring:
1) wall stretches (knee straight and knee bent) I own also heard of this stretch individual done with toes within and toes out.
2) Partner ankle resistance exercises (aka. PNF's) partner resists your ankle movement as you try to move ankles in/out/up/down.
3) heel walks. walking on heels beside toes up
yes it's true that if you start slow it will help. you departed out a lot if meaningful info. how old? how filling? how long since last exercise?
these adjectives play a role in how powerfully your bones will hold up. try jogging on dirt (not knotty packed-that's like pavement) or a pad track (might find one at a school) or try a fast walk-you can power way of walking a 12 minute mile and get the benefits minus the jarring to the bones.
