Well, depending on how discouraging your bunion is depends on what procedure is needed. Basically, the first metatarsal has to be cut and moved over into a corrected position. Screws are after used to hold the bone in place.
Dancing on pointe is really bleak for your feet. I dont tolerate my patients go rear legs on pointe for at least six months. But most do it inside three months against my advice.

I had it done on one foot. My big toe will no longer bend hindmost, as in toe to treat. It bends fine forward, when I go on my tip toes. The surgery itself be very unproblematic. I didn't even need to appropriate any pain medication afterwards. The mark is barely noticable. Although, presently when I swim I always go and get horrible cramps just on that one foot. So I hold to take a ton of potassium. You might enjoy some problems dancing, initially. But the doctor will supply you exercises to do to make sure it heal right.
