Suck your gut in and out and that will do it the safest course. Just suck it in and afterwards let it out. Do going on for 20 and tell me what you have an idea that. My soldiers do that in the army. I enjoy them do that for 30mins a day purely to make sure they can go beyond their p.t. test.
I 'm not sure that you can do sit ups but the single other thing I can suggest is to suck your stomach within while contracting your abdominal muscles and hold for 10 seconds. And do 3 sets of 10 or however lots you want.
Do sit ups and try playing some sports to hard abs.
An exercise i.e. low impact and fairly impressive is yoga, specifically the plank pose. It basically looks similar to a pushup with your arms pushed adjectives the way up. You can also modify it and rest on your elbows instead.
It doesn't put flexion strain on the discs and you enjoy to keep your abdominal muscles tight to argue a straight back.
