Left Side of Head Hurts?

I work at a job that is very stressful... I work about 7-8 hours looking at a computer screen... Ive never had these kind of headaches before, but these ones are bad... Any kind of way that i can relieve that stress? Thanks soo much all!

Answer:
Pain on one side of your head is usually the sign of a migraine...especially if the pain is more severe than your usual headaches. Stress can be a cause, but so can the heat waves that we've been experiencing.
I've been a 40 year sufferer of migraines, and a great OTC pain reliever is Excedrin (if you live in the US). If not, look for something that has a combo of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine. Put ice on the back of your neck, and move it to where the pain is. Ice will reduce the inflammation caused by the muscle spasms brought on by the stress. Try to take a nap in the dark. The less distractions you have the better.
If you are getting these headaches repeatedly, check with your doctor for medication to prevent them, or something stronger to relieve them.
Edit: Brain tumors don't usually cause headaches, or so I've been told by my doctors. But aneurysms do, so a check up could be warranted if these headaches are something new and severe.

Are you sure its stress?
Maybe you should see a doctor.
Do you have other symptons?
Dizzy, Numbness, etc. May be signs of a more serious problem.
Possibly...
I would go to a doctor. Some headaches can be caused by a brain tomer. Be careful and consult a doctor. Also take Advil for pain. Good luck!!
I know this may be hard, but try to eliminate caffeine and drink more water. A lot of people who are in stressful jobs, drink a lot of coffee and/or sodas to 'keep going'. These have a lot of caffeine and caffeine is a diuretic. Diuretics make you urinate a lot and this can cause dehydration. Even the slightest bit of dehydration can cause a headache.

Another think is looking at a computer all day causes a lot of tension in your neck and this can also lead to headaches. If you have someone who can massage your shoulders and neck, that should help relieve some of that tension. I would also suggest some Ibuprofen and if headaches continue see your doc.

But reducing stress is up to you. You have to eliminate whatever is causing your stress at work. We don't have anyway to know what that is!!
