I have been having sharp pains right below my belly button on and off for about a year now. What's causing it?
My mom and dad have told me it could be a hernia,
but I want to know for sure.
Thanks!

Answer:
It could be early signs of appendicitis the pain starts at the belly button region and to the lower stomach. Surgery is required to remove the appendix and recovery could take 6-7 weeks. Go get checked by a doctor to be sure.
The only one who can answer that is a doctor.
possibly a hernea. go to doctor.
