Do I have an Ingrown Toenail?
Answer:
It could be two things.
And infection down the side of your toe nail. Very common. And very easily treated.
Or it is an ingrown toenail.
It's infected at the moment so you need antibiotics to clear it.
You don't need to go to the hospital just to the Doctor for antibiotics and to the poadotrist to diagnose what is going on with your toe and further treatment.
The stuff they use to num b the toe is a local anaesthetic. Once it's gone in you will feel nothing but it has a habit of burning badly when injected. In any part of the body. But it works really quickly so after a few stabs you are numb enough to hardly feel anything.
It might be. I have one right now that come and goes(although I really need to get it fixed). Mine will swell up along the outside of the nail and sometimes puss. It gets VERY VERY VERY tender and I will just about scream my head off if something bumps it just right.
My husband had his toenail trimmed down on the side that was giving him problems for years, and he's much happier now. I reccomend going to the dr and getting it taken care of.
Maybe one day I will ;)
yep
Trim a " V" into the nail and it will somehow straighten itself out. It works if it's an ingrown nail.
