What would happen to America if the health care became socialized?
Answer:
we will have to wait 6 months to see a doctor like in socialist contries what a good system eh comrade!
we would turn communist. Actually, I don't see how doctors could lose out on money. in the end, more people would go to the doctor, increasing the revenue. Perhaps competition would even lower prices.
My understanding is that doctors would make less because the government would decide what they can charge and that's it, and taxes would go up considerably. Think about it, all of those people who are too broke to afford health coverage or really pay any taxes now would be covered, and who would foot the bill? The income taxes in Canada where they have socialized health care are lots higher than ours.
A lot of people would be helped by the change, but a lot of others would have more financial hardships. I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but something has to be done for the working poor.
It wont happen because our Government LOVES money too much. FDA, Drug company then doctors..in that order. They do not care about you, they only care about MONEY. That is why I do not go to a doctor. I only see a Eastern medicine who CARES about YOU, and heal you in most natural way. Just like back in when this country USA was BEFORE FDA was founded, then it changed the history for good. Now the insurance is involved and they do not even cover Natural Medicine. Everyone is brain washed to think Natural Medicine is something new, or invalid.
Americans would get a right that they deserve as Americans.
They would get health care just like the prisoners in our country.
Canadian health care cost coverage is a combination of taxes paid + annual health care fee. If you are poor then the health care fees are subsidised. Doctor's offices are private run practices which bill back to the government at a standardized rate depending on the service provided, thus they may make less money then US counterparts. Each individual is entitled to standard healthcare, not including dental, eye care, optional cosmetic surgery, hostpital fee, and medication. These can be covered by additionally purchasing Blue Cross or similar. But if you need service from a hospital, get lab tests, get physio, or see a specialist you will be covered at no additional cost. Good thing is that everyone gets the same level of care and no one is missed, so its fair and square. Also everyone accepts high taxes since everyone pays them and you feel more secure. Bad thing is that if you can afford better care then its not always available, and the wait time is longer for regular care. Its probably impossible at this point for America to have a standard health system as is difficult to turn private practice to government control. But a 2 tiered system might be possible.
