Answer:
You are breathing in Carbon Dioxide. Carbon Dioxide is, in-turn displacing the Oxygen out of your lungs, causing you to feel the way you are.

It's not wise to displace your Oxygen! Lay down and take deep slow breaths.

If the pain continues, call your doctor or head for the ER! They can give you oxygen there -- to help your body's oxygen in your blood to rise to normal levels.
its not ok to inhale dry ice, its like drowning in water. run out to fresh air immediately.
IF YOU HAVE TO ASK IF SOMETHING IS OK TO INHALE..THEN I THINK U NASWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION. WHAT A WASTE OF 5 POINTS
It really isn't good to breathe in but because it is used fairly commonly you should be ok. Don't do it again in the same way, wear a mask or something.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it has powerful chemicals in it too keep it that way. I would get checked out to make sure you didn't do anything to harm yourself.
don't do it again. dry ice is not safe for eating or inhaling as it fast freezes anything it touches especially tender nasal passages and such. call poison control, you can call information for the number and ask them. they will ask you how much you inhaled and your symptoms and will tell you what you should do. they will also call back and check on you if you allow them too. go ahead, call to make sure you are ok.
nopee..
I've never seen or been near dry ice, but maybe you should sleep it off, and if that doesn't work ask your doctor or a friend you trust. But if it made your chest hurt I wouldn't do it again..
Transporting dry ice is NO good for anyone's health or their vehicle's health.

Here is a website with info on transporting dry ice.

You will be ok, just get some fresh air!
You can easily get lightheaded and even pass out from inhaling too much dry ice.

Here's the Material Data Safety Sheet on Dry Ice:
http://www.continentalcarbonic.com/pdf/m...

It will explain to you what exposure is safe and unsafe, and what can be done in the event of exposure. But as a general rule of thumb, if you have to ask... don't do it.
CO 3 is not toxic or harmful in the gaseous stage at small quantities. But you shouldn't hold it and snifff it all day.. That causes you to "pollute" your air supply in your lungs and causes an imbalance. all of a sudde n you have all this in your blood stream and not so much oxygen. have you heard that people have died fom CO 2 poisoning? that's what you breathe out! You might be feeing a little light headed or nausious.

I'd suggest just lie down in a nice ventilated area (away from the dry ice) and let your body correct the inbalance itself. or try going to soe of those oxygen bars, that might be a fun trat as well ;)
Excess inhalation of dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) can cause suffocation...if you are reading this now you are probably just fine. Get plenty of fresh air and don't do that again!
no, my question to you is why are you inhaling dry ice anyways? Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide, which freezes at -109.3 f. so basically inhaling carbon dioxide is a waste that we exhale when oxygen enters our blood, this gas won't kill you but it won't help you either. Now than theirs the super cold air that your inhaling. Breathing this air can basically do some damage to parts of your respiratory system, . you should wear a face mask when "playing around" with this along with protection for your hands because you can get instant frostbite if you were to touch it.
