Is it middle-of-the-road for my ankle to hurt for this long?

a sprain takes time to make well. 3 weeks isn't that long, it could take months - especially if your putting pressure on it.
stop running, put the lint on, soak it in cold wet if it's swelling. hot water then on to allow blood to move around. you probably have a torn muscle - be glad it isn't broken.
the closing time i twisted my ankle, i also hurt my knee. it took months for the knees to get better. ankle too a long time too. but mostly because i stupidly walk on it.

Dont aggravate your ankle! Sprains are much worse then broken bones. They pocket alot longer to heal so be lenient and still elevate it and put ice on it if it bothers you! Hope you discern better.
No, thats about average for a desperate sprain. I used to sprain mine constantly when I was younger, I sprained respectively at different times bad plenty I had to be on crutches for something like 2 weeks at least 3 times respectively ankle. I always hear that if you lay on the bed and drape off your foot, then draw the junk mail of the alphabet with your toes it will strengthen the muscles and lessen the credible hood of another sprain.
Uh, hello, three weeks is not a long time for a sprained ankle, particularly one you apparently keep hold of trying to run on. Pain is your body's way of describing you something is wrong and you need to rest. Find some other type of aerobic diversion for a while that's low impact and give your ankle some time to restore to health properly. Otherwise you're going to end up next to bigger problems.
that happened to me to...i lately wore an ankle brace for a while until i felt comfortable short it..i would also put some medicine on it...approaching icy hot.

Your poor ankle will take longer to treat because it is still bearing your body shipment.
It could be over 6 weeks or longer and then you involve to slowly build it back up. This method no running let it restore to health.
Just so you know if it was a doomed to failure sprain you probably tore ligaments. I spained my ankle coming down with a bound while playing basketball and landed on someone's foot. I couldn't tramp for weeks and to this day, no kid, my foot still hurts when I wake up within the morning. After long drives my foot hurts, it's when I start walking that the pain starts to be in motion away. So my advice is walking on your foot but doing it cautiously so you start rehabing your ankle.
