Do I have glass in my foot?

Last night I stepped on a big christmas light in my friends basement and I cut my foot pretty bad. It was bleeding alot but i looked at it and i didnt see any glass. I still dont see any glass today but it hurts when I walk on it. Does it hurt because it is just a big cut or is there glass wedged up there? Thanks

I'd suggest seeing your family doctor about it.
A large cut in the skin can hurt quite a bit when you walk on it, but there could be still a small piece of glass that's in your foot. The only way to know is to have it evaluated by your nearest podiatrist. The doctor will take a x-ray to see if there's anything in your foot. If there is and it's just right underneath the skin, he/she will be able to take it out and that should relieve a lot of your pain. In the meantime, keep the area covered with Neosprin and a band-aid. Hope this helps!
