Has my wrist been damaged by doctor injecting into wrong place?

i have carpal tunnel and went to docs to have steriod injection. she put needle in but hit my nerve no steriod went in but my wrist and hand very painfull and swollen.

Answer:
The damage will most likely be temporary. The pain and swelling is from tissue damage and will go down in a couple of weeks.

Think of it as if you had a factory accident where something needle-like went into the body.
i have a similar problem & it could well be as mines damaged too
i experience painful 'buzzin' sensations too
Go to a Doctor who specializes in surgeries of the hand. I just had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrist at the same time in April. My wrist feel great.
As someone who has had hundreds of injections over the years (through cancer treatments) it is quite common for needles to go in the wrong place. the pain and swelling will be temporary although sore at the time. Dont worry.
