What do you do for knee pain?

What kind of knee pain? Aleve can help but is not good to take every single day, several times a day as may often be necessary. Weight can play a big roll if you are overweight losing can make a huge difference. Glucosamine is a great help if it is joint pain but you have to be very diligent in taking it everyday and it can take up to 2 weeks before it really starts helping.

There are over-the-counter pain remedies available at your local drug store. Talk with the pharmacist about your symptoms. If the pain persists, then see your doctor.
Smoke a pack of cigarettes
Ice and advil. You walk everyday, so ice at night 20-30 min.
Also take some glucosamine. It's basically lube for your joints.
I would put an ice pack on my knee and keep it elevated for a couple days and if that wouldn't get rid of the pain I would visit the doctor.

Depends on where in the knee it is, what brings it on, the level of pain, etc.
The basics are heat (15 minutes), rest, Ice and elevation. Wrapping it with ace bandage or knee support before use and icing it immediately after is a good plan.
Does it lock, grate, pop? Then see an orthopedic specialist and get it evaluated.
Take ibuprofen as directed to reduce pain and inflammation.
Rest it until it feels better then gradually work to strengthen it to prevent future injury.
Any pain that recurrs or lasts over 2 weeks needs evaluated by ortho.
