How impossible does an IV hurt?

It kind of depends on what's surrounded by the IV bag and why you're getting an IV and where on earth they stick the needle.
If you are contained by pretty bad shape and comatose, then probability are, you won't even feel the IV.
I enjoy had IV's for surgery as powerfully as for rehydrating me after a bad bout of nausea... an IV within the arm.. that "main vein" surrounded by front of your elbow, is the least bloody... easy to discount. The kind that go on the top of your hand is not so much tender as horribly annoying.
Pulling the tape bad is always the most scratchy part of an IV.
UNLESS, unsurprisingly, your have rolling vein and they have to poke you repeatedly next to the needle ... or unless you hold a newbie who isn't sure what he or she is doing.
Otherwise... the tape is the most raw part of the IV.
not too doomed to failure but depends on your pain tolerance.
They're not fruitless. When you're really sick, you just don't have a feeling a thing.

It barley Hurts trust me, Friend of mine get her tonsils out and she said the IV didnt even hurt at all ( it hurt a LITTLE )
Not as fruitless as some people may guess, when I was little I be constantly in and out of the hospital and the agency they do iv's now they purely put the needle within your arm and then attach the iv to the nozzle. So you only find poked once, but when the iv starts to run it does sting a little.
DOES NOT HURT AT ALL IF THE NURSE INSTALLING IT DOES IT RIGHT.
ALSO DEPENDS IF SHE CAN FIND A GOOD THICK VEIN
It feel like a bee sting...but first, ask them for a 'butterfly' iv...the needle tend to be much smaller and less uncomfortable for someone who is not familiar near the procedure.
You dont feel it when they put it contained by you , but you're awake when they take it out. It hurts a bit like a bruise after a while.
not fruitless, its a prick... and then if its done right, you really dont even mind... its uncomfortable when they transport it out, but that lasts going on for 10 seconds.
An IV doesn't hurt. The just pain is the syringe stick you feel when they insert it and that is to say the same hypodermic prick you feel when they draw blood on you.
Feels resembling they're sticking an effing stick up your arm!! But then again I'm really nozzle shy (even though I'm a seamstress, oddly enough) and I hold a somewhat low pain tolerance.
Depends on how glorious your pain smooth is. If it isn't very illustrious then it could hurt pretty fruitless. But for the most part they only just sting and pinch.
If you have someone who is fitting at putting IV's in, it should not hurt too unpromising. Also, if you have flawless veins, it is much easier. Ask if they can numb the nouns that they are putting the IV into, that helps plentifully.
If you have ever be stuck with a nozzle then that's how it feel. Also depends on the nurse who puts it in. I enjoy had them push it surrounded by a little to far but freshly tell them and they can fix it. All contained by all it's ok. Good luck: Blueladybug
It will probably be the worst twinge you ever felt surrounded by your life, similar to the kind where on earth you would rather be struck beside lighting, fall into hot lava, and bitten by a cobra adjectives at the same time. I'm sorry that you are going to enjoy to go through one of the biggest pains you'll ever have a feeling, that is if you live through it
No, I'm in recent times kidding, it's not discouraging, it will just touch like any other shot.
Probaly merely like a shot but I suppose sharper things hurt less when they cut you thats why within some religons they have to butcher animals with sharper things; by the time their late they only consistency a little aching. So it depends on how much pain you can tolerate and sharpness.
It would depend on who does it. I have one that didn't hurt at all and one that hurt close to crap.
As long as the nurse can find the vein and have experience, it doesn't hurt much at all (if you're queasy I wouldn't recommend watching them put it contained by though). Now, when it takes seven or eight tries to obtain it in, that's when you ask for a hot nurse, who can put it in niggle free!
More than what you would like, but smaller quantity than what you think.
Just hope you find a skilled Phlebotomist.
And they never stick it into a nerve.

Most always in that is a sting, mild burn from the alcohol cleansing the anti-coagulant.
Then most PAINfull part pulling of the cartridge and tearing out the mane.

It depends on several factors: the skill of the nurse at venopunction, if you own good detectable veins, and the size of the IV catheter individual used. I have surgery once i had an IV and guess what i didn't even discern it, it's fluids for your body because you have not eat since midnight the day until that time
it is not bad if the nurse know what she is doing...My veins tend to roll and they own to advance the plunger up a lot more on me...
