I'm sleepy...ZZZZZ but i cant sleep!?

..because i suck my thumb but i have brace and need to stop plz dont laugh at me ts so addicting.. what r some ways i can sleep w/ out my thumb?

Take Benadryl. It'll knock you out so you won't even think about your thumb.
Chop it off and take a bottle of Nyquil.
oh, this is a tough one. i would say... dream about something you like, or put on music. that always helps me fall asleep. or wait until you're like, REALLYREALLY sleepy, and you will automatically fall asleep. :))
Try Tea Designed To Help Sleep, Like Chamomile or Lavender.
Use a pacifier, totally normal. Drug users use them to stop themselves from crunching their teeth together, but you might benefit from it by using it instead of your thumb...
bore youself to death.or untill you dead asleep. If you have you thumb in you mouth, listen to music. If it's still in your mouth, then hug your pillow. If that doesn't work, srry dude.
sleep with socks on your hands so when you try to suck your thumb its really your hand and your hand wont fit! =]]]

My daughter is a thumb sucker. I would put mittens/gloves before she would go to bed. ") Hopefully this will break your habit.

hard habbit to get out of i know this because my brother and sister did the same thing.
if you still do it you will eventually grow out of it.

Don't be embarrassed....unless you are like 30 or something. Make a fist with your thumb inside your hand. Put your fist to your mouth but don't put your thumb in your mouth just up against your mouth. It will take a few times of still waking up with your thumb in your mouth but you will get used to not having it. Sweet Dreams!
If you want to break the habit of sleeping with your thumb, then think of a food you really hate, and spread it around your thumb you suck on, or dip it in a juice like olive's or something you hate the taste of, try sardines or something salty etc. if you don't like salt.
You'll just have to find a substitude
and cold turkey the thumb.

start sucking on something like a pillow and eventually stop sucking andjust put it in ur mouth, then just stop altogether.
Putting a bad tasting lotion on your thumb might help to remind you not to keep your thumb in your mouth. Soothers or something else you can suck on but not swallow might help that. A mouth piece might also help -maybe ask your dentist?
Warm milk or warm malted milk at bedtime can help sometimes, and Chamomile tea. Enough physical activity during the day is helpful too. Also no coffee or tea (as stimulants) after 3:00 PM assuming about a 9:00 PM sleep time. Also your evening meal at least 3 hours before bedtime so you don't feel too energized from food. But it is important to get a regular schedule, with a wind-down time for even an hour before you want to sleep, so quiet music or peaceful reading or maybe a hobby you enjoy would be good. Your room needs to be darkened and quiet, and not a place where you do work or business every day. Sometimes 'white noise' helps, like the sounds of an aquarium pump or a fan or a 'table waterfall ornament' with water running. The temperature usually needs to be a little cooler than the rest of the home. In other words your room needs to be comfortable. Getting in a comfortable position to sleep with a good pillow that supports your neck, and maybe pretend you're asleep at first. If you know self-hypnosis, it can be helpful, or having a mantra or words you say to yourself to remind you what's important in your life. I like Shalom which is the Jewish word for peace. Wayne Dyer has put the word together with the A sound being more energizing and om being more relaxing. You don't have to say it out loud, though it would not hurt if you did at first until it becomes almost like part of your breathing. Also I like to have my things prepared for the next day like books and clothes as I find myself too sleepy in the morning to think clearly. If you do this for 40 days you have have a good habit for better sleeping. Good luck and sweet dreams.
