This is a spider bite, right?

I got bit on my left arm by something unknown. THe bite is a fang mark with the marks approximately 3mm apart. I have had no sideeffects or anything harmful from this. The bite mark is clean cut, with no swelling or bruises. This is a spiderbite, right?

Answer:
A picture would be nice.

Did you wake up with it? Most spider bites swell up a tad with redness around the bite. Most spider bites are smaller then 3mm (fang spacing) unless it's a rather larger species of spider. You need to answer some questions to determine what it is.

For instance does itch it? If not good, it still could be a harmless spider but. You said you had no bruising or swelling, good if your sensation is still there (no numbness or tingling) then we know if anything it's definitely not a black widow or brown recluse. Those bites follow with specific symptoms.

A brown recluse will take a while to become necrotic (bruised looking, ulcerated and basically dying tissue) but if untreated it will and it will be super nasty.

A black widow bite is pretty bad too. These bites have symptoms such as severe abdominal pain and nausea and vomiting.

So assuming you woke up with it and it's been over 3-4 hours since you were bitten, it very well could be a harmless bite.

Wash it carefully with warm water and soap keep it clean to avoid infection secondary to the bite. We all have bacteria on our skin that has the potential to be very harmful when injected into the skin. Which is what the animal that bite you did to you.

Keep an eye on it if was on a few minutes ago. Watch for any worsening symptoms and you should be okay. If it gets worse please go visit the hospital. Bats have a numbing agent that makes the bite virtually painless. The size sounds more along the lines of a bats size. This is a very different scenario. These animals are known for carrying very harmful diseases including RABIES. The course of treatment for this if treated early isn't too bad. There is a vaccine (three shot series) that would of helped you but never the less get your self seen by a doctor

Clean your bed if you woke up with the bite and make sure those little creepy crawlies aren't living with you.

Be safe and good luck!
Does it itch??
No, it's a vampire bite ..get some garlic...before he comes again..
Yes
it could be, it could also be a puncture wound from something you didn't realize you leaned against. Keep it clean, and if it starts swelling or turning red go to the doctor. 3 mm is pretty wide for a spider bite.
It's a microsnake bite
ummmm... moo... i cow
if it is expect it to turn black and blue

you will be fine
It could be a tick there bites are clear in the middle and red outside.
Spider bites usually leave a bullseye. Bite in the center, red around, the bite, with a bruise around the red.
Its hard to tell since all spider bites are different! My boyfriend got bit one time but it was really bad! The doctor kept referring to the spot giving off heat.
sure.
spiders don't have fangs 3mm apart... so i would say possibly that is something else
There is a germ of truth in this idea, but only a very tiny germ. Spiders do have two venom-injecting fangs and typically bite with both at the same time. However, in any spider smaller than a tarantula, the entry points of the two fangs will be so close together that there is little if any visible separation. Also, the fangs are so slender and sharp that the actual entry points are all but invisible.

When you have a "bite" with two separated marks, it is either caused by a bloodsucking insect that has bitten twice (a common occurrence), or is a double skin eruption arising from one disease condition or arthropod bite, also a common occurrence.
Spider bites leave an indent in your skin, usually a round shape and often swell around it. Insect bites are also round and swell but go out instead of intented. If it's a "fang" mark then most likely it is not a spider but some other thing like a mouse. Be sure to look for signs of infection and talk to ur dr if you're concerned (pediatricians are wonderful because they see all this with kids and are very knowledgable).
ha miccrosnake... you should some lotion on it. trust me itll work.
