i am catching up on the sleep i missed during the school year,.

It's better to sleep late than to get up early and feel tired all day.
I don't think it's a great idea though if you're in school. If you will be going back to school in the fall, I suggest going to bed earlier now and getting up earlier so you won't get used to going to bed late/ sleeping late. It was really hard for me to get back into the habit of going to bed early/ getting up early after doing what you're doing now.
So if I were you, I'd start back into the habit of going to bed earlier!! =D
i dont think its that bad! i go to bed around 9-9 30 so i can get up and bike with my dad before he goes to work. just remember if you sleep that late you wake up and half of your day is gone!
It's normal for teenagers to need extra sleep.
Your parents might not be too happy though...lol
Its not bad that you sleep until 12, but just don't do it too much. Maybe if you went to be a little bit earlier you would find waking up a little bit easier. I myself wake up at 12 on occasion and it's nice, but you'll feel better to get up a little earlier and get active! Try going to bed at 10 tonight and see if that helps. If not, maybe your someone who just needs extra sleep.
Staying late is bad because you are still in the process of growing. The body needs sleep to enhance growth and repair so if you are at least getting 6 to 8 hours of sleep then you are fine. If you just started doing this a few weeks ago but constantly stayed on the same schedule then all you have changed is your time clock. You don't really need to follow the night and day routine. Just refer to midnight shift people. Just get enough sleep time and you'll be fine.
On the other hand, I heard that sleeping more than 10 hours a day will make your blood thicker(negative).

I don't think its bad. Your body knows how much rest it needs.
I for example have 2 kids, run a home business and work a night job.
I average about 6 hours of sleep a night during my work week (any less than that and I drag through my day). And on the weekends I sleep till my body tells me to wake up.
Last night 10pm to 9am this morning.
Hell, I slept till 2:45 this afternoon. I hope it's not bad ;-)
Don't worry about sleeping till 12:00. It's normal. If you went to bed really late, or if you've been on the computer all day, or playing video games all day, you body will feel tired, and sleep longer. Let it rest. It's not something bad.
Going to sleep at twelve isn't bad. All you have to do is wake up earlier and you'll eventually get tired. You can also try reading a book or listening to soft music. It will calm you down and you'll feel more relaxed.
First of all, if you're staying up late, it's perfectly normal to sleep in until noon. However, you should know that you can't "catch up" on sleep that you missed during the school year- it's not like a debt you can just pay by sleeping more later.
