How do you heal a jammed/broken toe? (DOCTORS& NURSES would be a great help) NE1 else can answer tho!?
I NO for sure it's jammed. I popped it but it hurts at the VERY bottom of my toe...How do I heal it?
Answer:
I'm not a Dr. or an RN...but I am in the medical field, radiology specifically. Toes aren't generally casted, unless it is a VERY specific fracture of the GREAT toe...(the big one.) What you can do, is tape the toe to the one next to it. Let it rest for a while. They are painful, and I've broken many toes...it's about all you can do. Take a tylenol if you can, or a similar pain med to help you through. It will get better, but they do take some time.afterall, FEET NEVER GET MUCH REST!
Take care!
Heidi.
if it is jammed there is nothing that you can do but let it heal. You do need to watch the swelling. So try and keep it elevated above your head and put some ice on it. If you can try and stay off of it as much as you can. With a jammed toe there is just nothing to do. Just wait it out. It is painful so you could take some IB Profen which is an anti anflamitory. Good luck.
See a podiatrist. you may have an intraarticular fracture wish will lead to joint arthritis. For relief you may have to have your toe splinted.
I recommend seeing a foot doctor ASAP!
get an xray, have it splinted, and follow up with your orthopedist.
