its on my middle finger it started off as looking a bit "lumpy"then after three weeks ist so painfull its unbearable.to be honest ive never known pain like it now its gone to my other finger(index)the pain goes right to the finger nail,i been taking painkillers coz i cant get a doctors appointment untill next week.its beyond!wat do you think this could be? im 46
Answer:
Go to an Urgent Care facility!
Since it is only one joint, my guess would be a small bone splinter causing the irritation/pain (fluid can cause the lumpy joint also).
I would take an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen to help with the swelling and pain until you have a chance to see the doctor.
